Job Description: Develop new customers and grow existing customer base for Energy Services Group throughout the Northwest. Find and develop conservation project opportunities including all aspects of utility conservation- mechanical, electrical, lighting, and water conservation.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Work directly with Energy Services team in the development and growth of new and existing customer base
Make initial contact with customers and foster new relationships for energy services business
Manage and grow customer base to increase annual revenue projections
Qualify customers and limit UMC’s risks through legal, financial and technical means
Provide leadership throughout sales process
Develop and continually improve energy services group sales marketing
Provide accurate sales forecasting, timely project closing and understand the importance revenue
Lead proposal development, bid process and the procurement of new work
Provide proactive, clear and timely communication to team members
Develop and maintain client relations

Knowledge of energy products, services, technical systems and financial solutions

Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of five years experience as an energy sales professional
College degree desired (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
Training: Energy Specific, Strategic Selling & Negotiation
Job Conditions:
Hours will often exceed 40 hours per week to effectively perform this position. Leadership and oversight responsibilities require consistent work start times and work weeks. Vacations are scheduled in advance with supervisor to ensure oversight continuity and adequate coverage.
