Opportunities for Diverse Businesses
To promote a healthy and diverse marketplace in our local community, University Mechanical Contractors (UMC) created a Diverse Business Enterprise Inclusion Program. The primary goal of the program is to build a business environment of mutual respect, tolerance, and equal opportunity. UMC welcomes the possibility to learn more about small, disadvantaged contractors in the community and discover how we can work together.
UMC is currently developing proposals for two (2) major projects:
- Oak Harbor Clean Water Facility Project, bid package 4b, includes supplying and installing equipment, piping, and HVAC at this new wastewater treatment plant.
- SeaTac Airport International Arrival Facility, Trade Package 5 includes mechanical and plumbing for one of the Port of Seattle’s most exciting projects.
UMC encourages interested small businesses, women-owned business, minority-owned business and other disadvantaged firms to contact us to discuss possibilities to participate in either or both of these projects.
