Randy Koetje Joins UMC’s Engineering Team

University Mechanical Contractors recently welcomed Randy Koetje, P.E., LEED AP as a lead engineer.  Koetje brings over 30 years of mechanical engineering  and project management experience.  He has worked on numerous projects throughout the Puget Sound region, including jobs for Harborview Medical Center, Boeing, and Valley Medical Center.

“We are extremely pleased to have Randy Koetje join us in the engineering department at UMC,” says Todd Bovey, P.E., UMC Engineering Manager.  “He is a very talented and experienced engineer who has managed the design for a wide variety of notable projects, including the nine-story emergency services tower at Valley Medical Center.  Randy takes a hands-on approach and enjoys working with the guys in the field to create practical, cost-effective, and energy-efficient solutions.”

Koetje received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science from Pacific Lutheran University, and also earned a  Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Professional Mechanical Engineer registered in Washington and California.   He is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
