It’s as easy as riding a bike
This week I’ve been traveling with my colleague Eric Moe, in Scandinavia to learn about energy solutions on a community and regional scale. Denmark and Sweden have some of the lowest carbon emissions in the world and have achieved significant reductions over the past 20 years. In Denmark’s capital city of Copenhagen, notable strides in lowering carbon emissions have been made by utilizing a very inexpensive and common form of transportation – The bicycle. Biking is a way of life in Denmark regardless of the weather, so I thought it would be fun to take a closer look at biking and environment statistics for Seattle and Copenhagen.
