When in the outdoor habitat nothing is set in stone with gorilla social groups. Whether it’s Vip flying through the structures or Leonel laying in the sun, zoo visitors enjoy viewing Gorilla Land. The gorilla groups thrive on schedules and have set routines to minimize potential risks.

With strict special conditions in place, our Special Projects group replaced two rooftop units and one interior unit, along with roofing and curb modifications. There were challenging conditions with multiple competing schedules, complicated site access, an aging infrastructure, and layers of animal management and behavior related restrictions. But working closely with the zoo staff to understand the constraints, we delivered the project on time and on budget. And gave the gorillas a much more comfortable place to hang out.
