This was a fast track, design-build project for UMC. MEP coordination and installations began almost immediately following contract finalization. UMC’s scope of work included new installations and modifications to domestic plumbing, lab gasses, DI water, HVAC piping and sheetmetal. UMC’s fab shop built a mechanical penthouse that was flown onto the roof of the building. The building’s 4th and 5th floors were built out to provide office spaces with incredible views overlooking Elliott Bay and Magnuson Park and state-of-the-art laboratory spaces where scientists will be developing and testing drugs that will enter Omeros’ pipeline for release to the world market. The first floor is occupied by vivarium spaces but also contains a workout room, office spaces and a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance imaging area.
