Cole Lewis recently joined UMC’s Special Projects Group as a Project Engineer. In his role, he will be coordinating with the field, communicating with vendors, providing estimating support, as well as maintaining and creating project records/document control on jobsites (submittals, RFIs, O&Ms, COs, drawing logs) while continuing to learn about the ins/outs of managing in the industry.

Lewis obtained his bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University and has ten years of experience developing his construction understanding as both a Lead Heavy Machine Operator and Construction Manager installing electrical vehicle (EV) chargers. Lewis’s approach to projects begins with his spirit of curiosity. He believes that by having an in-depth understanding of tasks outside his direct scope, he can better understand the entire project and step in when needed.

Technically speaking, Lewis’ mechanical mindset brings value to understanding designs (drawings) and the various systems that he encounters. He will begin his tenure at UMC by joining our team at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center campus.

Out of the office, you can find Lewis in the great outdoors camping, hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes, boating, and working on small to large motors (boat outboards, to large automotive).
