John Fromong Joins UMC’s Human Resources Department as Senior HR Generalist

John Fromong recently joined UMC’s Human Resources Department as Senior HR Generalist. In his role, he will serve as an administrator of workforce management and other key HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, performance coaching, employee engagement, and backup support to benefits and training.

"We are so happy to have John join the UMC team,” said UMC’s HR Director, Audrey Eustice, PHR, SHRM CP. “He brings the bench strength and experience we need to help drive key initiatives and provide top-level support to the organization. He has a great collaborative spirit and can connect with people. John’s strengths and skills will be instrumental in developing and creating new programs and I look forward to seeing his career grow with UMC!"

With 16 years of experience and a Doctorate in Education from Capella University, Fromong has honed his ability to collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure the company’s overall mission and strategy by managing and developing its human capital. Before UMC, Fromong was an HR Manager for a local luxury mirror manufacturer (Electric Mirror) as well as an HR Business Partner at Amazon for the Northwest Region which included additional responsibilities in designing training courses for the Corporate Transportation team. Prior to Amazon, he worked for Perdue Foods and Lowe’s Home Improvement as an Area HR Manager. Fromong received the Perdue Excellence Award for community service and has been selected as HR Lead of the Year at two of his previous companies.

In his personal time, you can find Fromong playing basketball, football, hiking, biking, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife and kids.
