Kamil Ettaki recently joined UMC’s Special Projects Group as Project Engineer. In his role, he will assist UMC Project Managers in increasing efficiencies and maintaining relationships with our clients.

Fresh out of college, Ettaki brings a new perspective to the field by simultaneously bringing new methods and practices to jobsites as well as learning from veteran employees to enhance the project experience. With a Science, Technology, and Society (STS) degree from Cascadia College, he has hands-on experience with field research from surveying to data collection and analysis. His time as a mechanic working on vehicle recalls and various other mechanical components has given him a unique perspective on the importance of scheduling, accurate time estimates, and quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC). Ettaki has also completed the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) 609 Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling certification.

Ettaki is a self-proclaimed outdoorsman, when he’s not on the job you can find him anywhere the wind blows: snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, playing sports with friends or modifying cars.
