UMC Welcomes Tommi Griffiths as Financial Analyst

UMC is excited to announce the addition of Tommi Griffiths as a Financial Analyst within the Finance/Accounting Department. With a diverse background and a unique skill set, Tommi is set to play a pivotal role in advancing UMC's financial forecasting, reporting, and operational efficiency.

With a primary focus on budgeting and forecasting, Tommi will employ her expertise to create models and reports that further automation and clarity in addressing financial queries. Additionally, she will contribute to the Accounting Department by overseeing Daily Cash activities and managing check allocations. Tommi brings a new perspective, proficiency in Excel, and an ability to manipulate and analyze complex data. Her innovative perspective in crafting financial models and conducting analyses is poised to enhance efficiency and automation, aligning with UMC's commitment to continuous improvement. Two pillars of Tommi's approach to every project are organization and communication. By prioritizing essential tasks and establishing streamlined workflows, she consistently meets project deadlines while delivering impactful outcomes.

Graduating from Gonzaga University in 2020 with a major in Economics and a minor in International Relations, Tommi carries a solid academic foundation into her role at UMC. Having previously served as a Commercial Financial Analyst, Tommi's experience aligns closely with the responsibilities of her new position. In a prior role as a Market Research Analyst at a startup software company she helped farmers integrate to e-commerce platforms. Subsequently, she contributed to an alcohol distribution company as a Commercial Finance Analyst, demonstrating her ability to drive financial insights and strategies. She has been instrumental in budgeting and forecasting practices, creation of innovative financial models and reports, such as Freight Trackers, YTD Analysis, Monthly Reviews/QBRs, and Budgeting models, and has played a role in shaping financial direction and addressing critical business questions.

Off the clock, Tommi spends time on gym workouts and Pilates. She is passionate about cooking for family and friends and enjoys travel at every opportunity.
