UMC is honored to be the 2023 Associated General Contractors of America – Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) winner for the Specialty Contractor for 425,000 – 1 million hours worked.

Left to Right: Todd Roberts, President, ERS Inc. & 2023 AGC of America Vice President; Kirk Baisch, Director of Safety, UMC; Brian J. Poliafico, Vice President, Profit Center Manager – Excess Construction, Starr Insurance; Joe Russo, Northeast Regional Construction Industry Leader, WTW

This award recognizes construction companies that excel at safety performance. The CSEA completes a comprehensive review of safety and occupational health management and risk control within the company. Instead of reviewing frequency rates, the CSEA selection process is considerably more comprehensive reviewing company management commitment, employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control, and program innovation.

At UMC, safety isn't just a priority – it's our cornerstone. We're deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of safety in the industry, and being recognized by AGC underscores our unwavering dedication to this crucial aspect of our work.
