UMC is pleased to announce that Dava Pacheco (henceforth, “Dava Pacheco, SHRM-CP”) has passed all requirements and examinations for the Society of Human Resource Manager Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification. The SHRM-CP certification ensures that Human Resources (HR) professionals possess up-to-date knowledge and skills to effectively manage human resources, promote employee well-being, and drive organizational success.
As HR Generalist 2, Dava specializes in employee relations, performance management, and talent development strategies to foster a positive workplace environment and support UMC’s growth. Earning her SHRM-CP was a bucket list item, and the skills she gained throughout the process added a real-world perspective to her post-graduate education.
Earning the SHRM-CP credential is no small feat. It involves documenting credible work experience, qualified education requirements, completing relevant training, as well as passing rigorous examinations. Completing all SHRM-CP requirements in the Human Resources profession can be compared to and is at the same caliber as completing the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and is nearly as challenging as the Professional Engineer (PE) examination.
