Since 2007, the community surrounding Bellevue's Spring District has been dreaming of a vibrant new neighborhood where people could live, work, and play. Now, that dream is coming to life. The Spring District is a 36-acre, mixed-use, pedestrian-friendly development that is transforming a former industrial area into a thriving urban village. With its walkable streets, open spaces, and diverse mix of uses, the Spring District is setting a new standard for sustainable and livable urban development.

The Spring District is committed to sustainability, and four of its projects, blocks 6, 13, 16, and 24, have been awarded or are pursuing LEEDv4 Core and Shell certification. UMC provided energy modeling to demonstrate the target energy cost savings needed to achieve LEED credits. Our team modeled the baseline designs and prepared the necessary documentation needed to achieve LEED credits for each of these projects. Energy modeling contributed to at least 20% of the LEED credits awarded.

Certifications:
– Block 16: LEED certified. Energy modeling contributed 20% of the total awarded points.
– Block 24: LEED certified. Energy modeling contributed 28% of the total awarded points.
– Block 6: Awaiting LEED Silver certification. Energy modeling contributed 20% of the total awarded points.
– Block 13: In progress.
